Halloween was a bit lost on Brady. He was sick (so was Mommy) with our colds, but our good friend "Aunt" Deb came over and turned it into a fine celebration. I hadn't bought a costume prior to leaving for Kaz and since Halloween is HUGE here nearly everything was sold out when I finally did go looking on Thursday. We did find one, although it was a little small, but did the trick for a short amount of time.

Deb loved greeting the trick-or-treaters (went through 2 big bags of candy) and by the end of the evening, Brady would crawl giggling to the front door as well to see what ghouls and goblins were out there.
Deb also brought us a carload of goodies! Brady got a ton of new toys, a big bag of clothes, a new dish set and sippy cup, many other fun things, and a GIANT "Welcome Home Brady" cookie! THANK YOU, DEB! You made our first Halloween very memorable.

Oh my gosh, what an absolutely cute dinosaur! He is so adorable! Even if there were very few options, this one was perfect.
Glad to hear you guys had a great first Halloween!
That costume is SO cute! He is adorable and looks like he's having a great time in spite of the cold. I just read your last post... I think you just have to let colds run their course. Make sure that he gets more sleep than usual. When Miras gets so stuffy that he can't sleep, I give him a very small dose of benadryl (note that they don't recommend any cold medicines for kids under 2) which helps him to breathe and sleep. On the positive side, Miras caught 3-4 colds one after the other for the first couple of months in daycare but hasn't been sick in at least a month now. You might want to think about vitamins if he's drinking less than 17 oz of formula to make sure that his immune system is on full speed.
Boy, I know what you mean about feeling like you are constantly washing stuff! The kids eats like 5 times per day plus a bottle at bedtime!
You'll also be happy to know that Miras started off not drinking much water but now he will down a bunch of it if he's thirsty. Once you cut down on formula, he'll drink more water. You may want to cut out juice altogether - he'll drink the water if he's really thirsty (make sure you offer it often). He'll probably adjust to the climate eventually too.
Glad that you were able to get out and about. It is fun to observe how these kids take in what is going on around them. I always strap Miras into the cart so he can't climb out and then let him carry the list or show/give him what I'm putting in the cart (not glass of course) - especially if it makes a funny noise, like crinkles or shakes. I can get a good 30-60 min of shopping out of this strategy before the meltdown.
And, don't worry, things will get easier (well, certainly for your back and wrists) once he starts to walk. Though now Miras' favorites words are "Up, Mom!"
What a cute costume! He is adorable.
