A family isn't determined by who is or isn't in it, or how it came to be, but by the bond that is created by the love that is shared.

Rocket Science
From my soon-to-be ex-doctor, who, along with her staff and office notary are incapable of filling out and notarizing the very simple medical forms correctly that I need for travel:
"We will not be able to complete your adoption paperwork again... This paperwork is totally outside of our usual paperwork and it has taken an inordinate amount of my personal and my staff's time to complete. The details that are required for the paperwork are not standard and even a U.S. legal document would not require the details that you have expected from us. We are a medical office, we are not an attorney's office. We are unable to spend any more time on this issue."
All I asked is that they print the forms on letterhead, fill everything out, spell out the month when they write the date, and don't put the notary stamp over anything. Took them 4 tries to do it right for my dossier, and apparently it is impossible this time around. So, I have an appointment Wednesday and will pay (again) to see her, along with my notary, for what I hope is the last time. Wish me luck.

Good grief, I'm sorry this is happening to you. My doctor's office messed it up twice, but they never took that attitude. Good luck!!

Can you get in with another doctor? She doesn't sound like she is worth your co-pay. Doctors, Doctors, Doctors......
Whoa...sounds like she is an uncompassionate, incapable you-know-what. So sorry about this. It's such a pain even when your doctor is agreeable.
what a jerk! i hated asking my dr to do it,you feel bad enough asking them to do this stuff, and to take on that attitude with you-that stinks. I'm sorry.
we had to find a new dr cuz our dr's license expired in Jan, and we were doing our dossier the summer prior. We had to find a new dr, and he was great. Come to find out, he and his wife had adopted from China and they "got it"
jerky people are tough-and it's not like this is THAT much work-copy it on letterhead and spell the date out-it shouldn't take hours.
it might take 15 minutes.
I got my dr's office a gift card to panera (acccross the street from them) for $50 and then wrote them a thank you note.
maybe you can kill them with kindness and make them feel bad for their immaturity.
Just catching up on your blog and i had to laugh when i read this posting. I, too, had the same problems with my doctors office. My doctor's office went as far as to tell me that maybe I should get a new doctor because the doctor did not have the time to fill in my paperwork. I was so upset and wrote a very nasty note to the office and found a new doctor. I mean common the forms are pretty simple and after being their patient for 5 years they could do one simple thing for me. Geez!!!
