I have no doubt the clerk in the little boutique toy store thought I was truly nuts. She may be right. ;)
A family isn't determined by who is or isn't in it, or how it came to be, but by the bond that is created by the love that is shared.

Kittens
I'm sort of having them at the moment. Suddenly dawned on me that I could, just maybe, possibly, be heading to Kaz in the near future. Andrea said hopefully June (assuming kids are available) and HOLY CRAP! June is barely over a week away!!!!! Don't really know nuttin' yet, but freakin' just the same.

Mentioning kittens, in my blog surfing I've seen where families with pets have "introduced" their child during the bonding process to a stuffed version to help get them comfortable with the animal(s) when they go home. So I've been on a toy kitty hunt. Took awhile, but finally came across some that were reasonably close in appearance (at least color), weren't wearing sparkly collars or eyelashes, not too expensive, and would take minimal room in the suitcase. But then there was the dilemma: do I get the grey one like Merlin or the red one like Callie? Fifteen minutes of agonizing later, I left with both. Only one, well that would be like picking a favorite! Can't do it. Not sure if these little guys are more for the little Kaz Boy or for me, but they are in the suitcase. Who needs to take clothes?! ;)

Those kittens are too cute. Your child is going to love em. Yes June is just around the corner, and whoo hoo that would be fabulous.
Isn't it funny how we wait and wait and wait, we get ready to travel but when the words ITS TIME TO TRAVEL are said to you, it takes on a whole new meaning.
I am routing you on and hoping/praying that your time will come soon.
Your Big Adventure awaits you.

Alysa, I think it's a great idea to bring them along. Like you we would have bought both!
We're bringing a baby photo album (with a teether) that has both our kitties in it. I found a *wubanub* (stuffed black/white kitty with a pacifier) to take with us. It's like our kitty Oreo. Wish they had one like our kitty China!
Wow....if you go in June then you'll be traveling when we do!! Yeah :)
I'll be blog stalking to see what's next for you.

June is almost here! Woohoo. Have you bought a doll so your kitties get used to a little person running around their house ;) Sequoia still isn't over it.
Adorable!!! Griffin loves my cats, Calvin and Chloe. Sadly, his love isn't be reciprocated. I think it's because he pulls their tails and ears when he catches them sleeping. Fortunately, they don't nip him.
the kittens are really cute. I would have been the same way.
I went nuts in the toy/clothes dept. I wish i wouldn't have, but, oh well, I did. :)
I hope you find out someting very soon!!!
That's very cute! And a great idea (you can practice petting gently as well!). Another idea that I've heard (and we're doing) is to take photos of the kitties with a stuffed animal so he'll recognize the kitties when he gets home. We've introduced the stuffed monkey and we'll introduce the photo book next week. Though I still don't think we'd be able to adequately prepare him for the menajerie of dogs and cats that will greet him at home!
June does seem really close! Hope you travel soon. And good luck with document updates - boy was THAT a hassle.
Cute kitties! And, yes, June is like NEXT WEEK!
I hope you hear something soon . . . and I hope that you have purchased more provisions than I! If not, get your tail to the nearest discount store and start buying granola bars, peanut butter and pillows FAST!
Those are the cuties kitties ever! I love them! You know, while I was in Kaz with Z, we talked about our puppies all of the time. I brought photos of Diesel and Rylee and she adored them, and we just improvised and used the orphanages' big huge hard stuffed dogs as stand ins....and would you believe it, puppy was her first word. :)
