A family isn't determined by who is or isn't in it, or how it came to be, but by the bond that is created by the love that is shared.

Score!

The subdivision I live in had a community garage sale event today. Me, being new to the suburb world, had no idea... it started at 7am, but I didn't get moving until about 8:45. Even so, I had a blast driving all over the neighborhoods and for a whopping $40 (!!!!!!!!!!!) I hit the motherload toy-wise. I love the Little People toys and now little KB is all set! He was already set. Now he's just set for the next 2 years!

I came home when my wallet was empty or I would have helped many more families clean out their playrooms. The question now is, where the heck am I putting all this stuff???

I remember my old neighborhood having a garage sale and most houses were cleared out by 7:00 a.m. It was crazy. Shelves and cubbies for the toys :)

Whew, you DID clean up! I did the same last Fall and Sne complained the whole time that I was being premature... but hey, full price this stuff really adds up! Now our garage is full of stuff. Added to that a friend gave me all of her kids' play stuff (as well as a highchair, stroller, etc) that they had outgrown. It really made a dent in what we needed to buy. But I thought Sne was going to have a heartattack when I pulled up in the car and it was so loaded down that I couldn't see out the rear view mirror!

Well, you'd best start clearing closets, girl, because I understand that this is just the beginning!

Hurry back out and grab some giant book shelves and rubbermade tubs to store it all before it takes over.

Of course, you can store it anyway you wish but, kids take over :-)

Congrats on the big toy score!

I love yard sales when I'm in the mood to scurry around on a Saturday morning (not often!)

Also I have discovered "Once Upon a Child" which is a children's secondhand store of gently used clothes, toys and gear. It's the bomb!
